Functional training

A functional workout is one that strengthens you in a particular way that directly translates to an activity outside the weight room. During functional workout we chose exercises which are improving you in order to execute more efficiently specific sports movements or even just the movement patterns of daily simple activities. A majority of functional training movements are multijoint, and a functional training program should incorporate movements in multiple planes.
That means moving forward and backward, side to side, and incorporating rotational movements. A proper functional workout plan intends to improve your strength, mobility, flexibility, mobility endurance explosiveness, coordination. With this method you move your body in a way that recruits multiple muscle groups at once. The more you train functionally, the better you’ll become at working your entire body as one system.
